Meditation Teacher Training

About

I started The Meditation Teacher Training College to provide an opportunity to deliver accredited meditation teacher training in a supported, engaging learning environment. I initially taught the curriculum developed by IMTTA.

In 2020 I launched my own course in which I draw from 30 years of personal practice, sitting at the feet of many great teachers, 20 years of nursing and 15 years of teaching experience. I have a PhD in Art Education from UNSW in which I explored how we learn and apply theory to our learning and creativity. Unexpectedly this provides the perfect background for my meditation teaching. I wish to acknowledge that although I draw from a range of sources this course is entirely my own creation.

Our opportunity

Our successful graduates are now working as meditation teachers or have added this modality to their established careers as healers and counsellors.

“Drawing from contemporary mindfulness practices and well as Hindu, Buddhist and Earth Based traditions you will learn and unpack a range of meditation techniques and how to facilitate effective meditation sessions for others. The course does not shy away from meditation being a spiritual practice - as meditation reveals to us our true nature. It is not exploring meditation as a religious practice, though respect and honour is made to the religious traditions and teachers that have brought forth these skills.

In this time of change and uncertainty we need all the help we can to remain present and aware, present with self, present with others and present with the earth.

I suggest we need aware, present, mindful decision makers in the world today. It could be meditation skills that helps present awareness emerge amongst the flow of constant chatter that is our mind.

Whether you want to deepen your personal practice or add meditation teaching to your current skills, this course will help you achieve your goals. As you teach you will deepen you own practise and move toward your authentic wisdom. This course is offered online with weekly live sessions via zoom, individual mentoring and Moodle for class content and assignments. Its all web-based and easy to use. Im here to help!

If this sounds like it could be you, then welcome to this new and innovative Meditation Teacher Training program.”

Thank you to past students

IT HAS BEEN AN HONOUR TO WITNESS YOUR GROWING WISDOM AND CONFIDENCE

The Diploma in Meditation Teaching has given me the skills, confidence and qualifications I need to take my meditation practice to a new level. The course was carefully structured to gently unfold each week and the learning was underpinned by Susanne’s gentle guidance, the strong group support of the students, and our own daily personal practice. I am incredibly grateful for Susanne’s mentorship throughout the course and the insights that this has given me both personally and in preparing me to share meditation with others.

Rebecca Wells -Diploma course

Doing this course has helped me deepen and refine my own meditation practice. The regular practices we were assigned seemed like a lot at first but after a few weeks, I found myself wanting and seeing the need to spend more time in meditation. I enjoyed exploring different styles and then reflecting on the experience. When I faced challenges my classmates and teacher were there to support me. I am very grateful.

Face to face -Certificate course

Susanne Jones - is a truly talented instructor and a gift to her students. I would recommend The Meditation Teacher Training course to anyone who wants to go professional into meditation and also anyone who wishes to deepen their knowledge in alternative approaches to healing, practicing mindfulness, and overall health. After graduating and becoming certified - I went on to teach overseas in New York, New Jersey, and Arizona. I have my own practice and conduct workshops, seminars, and yeah in studios across the USA.

Alexandra Juryte -Face to Face Certificate course

I have absolutely loved the course. It has changed my life for the better and by keeping up the practice I feel I will only grow more. As a mum of two young kids the part-time course was hard work, but so worth it as I feel I am a much calmer mum, with more patience and having more fun with the kids.

When I first found the course, I was looking for a training that would put me in good stead to help guide others with their meditation journeys, but I also knew deep down that I needed to go on a journey of rediscovery of my own. This course provided a rigorous, safe, and nurturing space to do both. My personal practice has undergone a profound transformation and the teaching and professional skills I’ve received are sturdy and evidence-based, while being genuinely accessible and inclusive. Susanne has created a supportive, interesting, and FUN training program that I would highly recommend to anyone interested in applying meditation to their works with others!

Jerico -Diploma course

Susanne Rae has been a consistent and exemplary mentor in my life, both in passive and professional roles. as a counsellor she excelled at helping me navigate my internal world. Through her gift for education, Susanne has a profound way of helping you both learn and integrate lessons to put them into effective practice. In addition, Susanne's talents as an artist offer lingering inspiration; with a heart for communicating the mysteries and depths of life and spirit. Her eye for capturing and observing the often overlooked in the day-to-day, ever-present in her photography. Susanne offers a truly unique perspective in life and I would encourage any who have the chance to spend time with her to take the opportunity.

Daniel -Mentoring

After finishing my course in transpersonal art therapy I was searching for a course in meditation to help deepen my learning of the practice. I spent a while digging through the internet and found many courses and eventually stumbled upon Susanne’s. Her humour and humble nature instantly drew me in. I ended up enrolling to become a meditation facilitator and studied with her online for several months. I loved the program, the community, and the support I received. It helped me significantly in my own meditation practice but also in finding the confidence to teach it myself.
